Do I need to be fit to start CrossFit?
Absolutely not! Everyone, regardless of age, injuries, current fitness levels or abilities can do CrossFit. Whether you are a Grandparent or an Olympian you can perform modified versions of the same workouts to achieve the same outcome. The outcome of CrossFit is to assist in helping each person become a healthier and fitter version of themselves.

Yes. We offer 'Drop in' sessions. Please click the 'MEMBERSHIP' tab for further information. You can also message us via instagram or e-mail.
What does a typical CrossFit class look like?
Generally a typical class will go for approximately 1 hour. In this time we will brief the WOD (work out of the day), demonstrate all movements and scaling options to suit the workout. We then complete a warm up, followed by the the WOD and later, stretching.
What if I can't do something listed in the workout?
The WOD (workout of the day) will contain a prescribed load and intensity known as "Rx". However, CrossFit workouts can be modified for people at any age and ability. Adjusting a workout for a specific person is called "SCALING" which allows even the most experienced athletes and beginners to train side by side. Example: Push ups converted to knee push ups. Pull ups converted to jumping/banded pull ups. In every workout, we strive for consistent mechanics before increasing loads or adding weights. In general, choose a load that is manageable for you or use a percentage of the weight prescribed.
What benefits does CrossFit have?
According to the Australian Institute of Health, almost half of Australians were found to have 1 or more chronic health conditions. CrossFit holds a unique solution to one of the worlds largest problems, that being chronic disease. Fitness provides a great margin for protection against time and disease. With CrossFit's methodology combining constantly varied functional movements with a simple approach to healthy eating you not only improve your lifestyle but your physical and mental health. CrossFit is also known for its community based appeal and brings like minded people together to improve their health goals.
